Crash leads to impaired driving charges

A crash has led to impaired driving charges in Chatham-Kent.

Police officials say on Thursday night at 11:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Talbot Trail and Kent Bridge Road within Chatham-Kent.

Through investigation, police officials allege that the officer believed the woman had been driving while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.

She was transported to a police station for breath tests, police say.

The 53-year-old Port Lambton woman was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released with a future court date of Friday, December 15, 2017.
