A Wallaceburg woman faces charges after allegedly hitting her neighbour with a piece of wood on Wednesday.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday morning at 11 a.m. a woman, who resides within a complex in Wallaceburg, allegedly approached her neighbour about a shopping cart that appeared to be dumped behind her unit.
Police allege that after a brief discussion between the woman and her neighbour, she struck him on the head with a piece of wood and then returned back home.
Police say the man suffered a bump on his head, but did not require medical assistance.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service was called.
The 34-year-old Wallaceburg woman was located in her unit, arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she has been held for a bail hearing.
