Roy Clayton Best of Sombra passed away peacefully, with Eva by his side, at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence in Wallaceburg, Ontario on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 105.
Roy was the son of the late Clark and Mable (Workman) Best. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marie (nee Daniel) in 1997. Together they shared 62 years of marriage. While they had no children of their own, they had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins that had many fond memories. Roy is survived by his first cousin Clifford Workman and other extended family. Roy also had the good fortune of having many wonderful friends and neighbours.
No one was more loving and caring than his companion Eva Rankin. For twenty years Eva was by his side caring for all his needs and travelling the roads. Roy will be dearly missed by many.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Saturday, January 6 from 10 AM – 12 Noon with the funeral to follow at Noon.
