Joy Ruth Claeys of Wallaceburg and formerly of Blenheim died suddenly at the Chatham hospital on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the age of 79.
Joy is the daughter of the late Robert & Evelyn (Winter) Knight. Beloved wife of Cyriel Claeys. Loving mother of Cindy Glover, Scott Sorrell and Mimi Bechard (Todd). Dear grandmother of Wesley, Jamie, Nevada, Skyler, Chyenne, Omar, Nicolas, Youssif, Gerry and Taunya and great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren. Sister of Barbara Jewel and the late Ron Knight.
Joy is a former employee of North American Plastics and St. Clair Technologies. She could usually be found at the Wallaceburg Adult Centre or playing cards at the Union Hall.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 6 at 2:30 PM. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery on Monday at noon.
