Dad began his working career early and, at the age of 18, joined the military where he proudly served in the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion during WW2. He is best remembered as a long serving police officer in Peterborough, Elmira and Dresden, where he retired as Chief of Police in 1987.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Luc Dubois, John (Bayshore), Rose (VON), and Dr. Samantha Chandrasena who helped to ensure that Dad’s last years with us were healthy and happy.

In keeping with Dad’s express wishes for “absolutely no fancy gathering”, cremation has taken place under the care of Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home in St. Marys, Ont. A private service will be held at a later date when Dad will be laid to rest in Peterborough with Mom. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Dad’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
