Cheryl Riley of Walpole Island First Nation

Cheryl Ann Riley, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 9 at the age of 66.

Cheryl is the daughter of the late Edison Isaac Sr. & Jeanette Riley. Loving mother of Tina, Eli and Windy Riley. Dear grandmother of Jarrod Riley, Taeyah Riley, Dawson O’Neil, Cruz Riley and the late Tahja Cadotte. Great grandmother of Lucas Riley. Sister of Valarie Waboose, Linda Riley, Deb Plain, Paul Riley, Christine Whiteye (Tony), Ralph Riley and the late Allison ‘Hank’ Riley.

Cheryl was known for the quality of her traditional arts and crafts and regalia design and creation.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Thursday evening until the traditional services at 11 AM on Saturday, January 13. Burial to follow at Highbanks Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. 519.627.3231.
