Fire officials have released a few more details about the blaze at O’Neil Tire & Battery in Wallaceburg on Saturday.
Whitney Burk, public educator with Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services, told the Sydenham Current that “the cause has been deemed accidental.
“Stations #3, full-time and volunteers and station #2 Chatham responded,” Burk said, adding that more details will be released on Tuesday, including estimated damages.
The fire broke out at the 69 McNaughton Avenue business at around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Fire officials tweeted on Saturday that there were no injuries to report as a result of the blaze.
The office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was called in to investigate.
