Police investigating B&E and theft in Wallaceburg

Police are investigating a B&E and theft on Water Street in Wallaceburg.

Police officials say sometime overnight between Monday, January 15, 2018 and Tuesday, January 16, 2018 an unknown suspect entered two vehicles parked within a driveway at a residence on Water Street.

In addition, an unlocked detached garage at this address had also been entered, police say.

Various items and loose change was taken from the vehicles as well as an assortment of tools from the garage.

The estimated value of stolen items is $1,000.

  1. Why don’t we start a neighbourhood watch like in back in the day and have residents taking turns walking the beat and hopefully deterring thieves. Not vigilante style but maybe more presence of people around will stop alot of these guys/gals from breaking into vehicles and stuff.
