Suspicious fire in Sarnia

The investigation is on-going after a suspicious fire in Sarnia this week.

Police officials say on Tuesday morning, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Sarnia Fire Department along with the Sarnia Police Service responded to a fire in the area of Indian Road and Exmouth Street.

Police say the fire consumed a motor home that was parked in close proximity the house.

The house also sustained significant damage but no one resided in the residence, police say.

Traffic was detoured in the area of Exmouth and Indian Road until approximately 1 p.m.

The fire is believed to be suspicious in nature and thus the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over the investigation of the fire along with assistance from the Sarnia Fire Department, police officials say.
