10 to 12 cm of snow expected

A special weather statement has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as total snowfall amounts of 10 to 12 cm is set to begin this morning.

Forecasters say a cold front and associated weak low are expected to move slowly across Southern Ontario on Monday, January 29.

This frontal zone is forecast to become active and generate appreciable snow.

It will begin this morning and continue into this evening before tapering off.

Motorists and commuters should plan for challenging road conditions especially for the Monday evening commute.
