A number of auction items were stolen from an annual fundraiser in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on Saturday, January 27 officers were dispatched to attend John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham in response to a call of a break and enter.
John McGregor was set to host this year’s Dave Allin fundraiser for the ALS Society.
The items stolen were donated for the group to raise funds for the charity, police say.
Through investigation and quick action on the officers on scene, the suspects were located.
The majority of the items stolen were returned approximately five hours after the break and enter occurred, police officials said.
