Durston records 8 points for Bandits

Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston recorded 8 points, 2 goals and 6 assists for the Buffalo Bandits back on January 19.

The Bandits (3-3) stunned the previously undefeated Saskatchewan Rush (5-1) 16-15 in overtime.

Durston is third on the team in scoring, with 7 goals and 15 assists for 22 points in six games.

Buffalo is in Rochester on Saturday in their next game.

Zach Herreweyers joins the Bandits

The Buffalo Bandits have acquired Wallaceburg’s Zach Herreweyers.

Herreweyers signed with Buffalo, who was a free agent after being let go by the Colorado Mammoth.

Herreweyers had 3 goals and 7 assists in five games as a rookie last season.

He is currently on the Bandits practice-player list and has yet to see any game action.

Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse registration is now open

Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse registration for the 2018 season is now up and running on their website.

Registration for the program is all done online.

Organizers say there is a firm cutoff date of March 18.

This means if a player is not registered by then, they will not play this summer.

Wallaceburg Lacrosse holding FREE camps

A free camp was held by the Wallaceburg Red Devils this past weekend at the D.A. Gordon gymnasium.

Two more winter clinics for paperweight players, boys and girls ages five and six, is taking place on February 3 and February 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The players just need a helmet and running shoes, and lacrosse sticks will be provided for the players to use.
