Senior Tartans & Cards win in boys hoops, juniors fall

The Wallaceburg Tartans won their regular season finale on Thursday night, beating Blenheim 51-19 in senior boys LKSSAA basketball action.

Gabe Namink led the way with 15 points, while King Wright and Tyler Davis added 9 points each.

The Tartans will now face LCCVI in Petrolia on Thursday, February 15 in the LKSSAA ‘AA’ playoff final.

The game gets started at 7 p.m.

The Lambton-Kent Cardinals senior boys team topped Tilbury 54-32 on Thursday.

Jacob Alderdice led all scorers with 16 points for the Dresden squad.

Mark Mortier added 12 points.

The Cardinals wrap up their regular season on Tuesday, February 13 when they host Pain Court.

Tip off is set for 7 p.m.

In junior boys action, Blenheim topped Wallaceburg 44-17 on Thursday.

Owen Kerr led the Tartans with 4 points.

Wallaceburg will face LCCVI in the LKSSAA ‘AA’ playoff final on Thursday, February 15.

The game tips off at 5 p.m.

The junior Cardinals fell to the Titans on Thursday, 37-36.

Daniel Trott scored 11 points for the Cardinals, while Carter Covemaeker scored 8 points.

The Cards host St. Francois-Xavier on Tuesday in Dresden at 5:30 p.m. in their last game of the regular season.
