Elsie May DeRooy, a former resident of Wallaceburg, passed away at Bennett Health Care Centre, Georgetown, on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the age of 92.
Elsie is the daughter of the late Ernest and Clara Masefield. Beloved wife of the late Alfred DeRooy. Loving mother of Kathryn Shaw (Mark), Cheryl Hambrey (Peter), Debra Brown (David), Dennis DeRooy (Louis-Michel Taillefer) and Rob DeRooy (Trish). Cherished grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 11. Dear sister of Doris Williams and the late Anne Carroll. Loving aunt and friend to many.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11 AM followed by interment at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
