O’Neil Tire and Battery in Wallaceburg is set to officially re-open on Monday, February 26.

The doors will be open at their new temporary location at 60 McNaughton Avenue, the former location of Mufflerman.

O’Neil’s will have their regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The phones are up and running at the new location, with the same number to call to book appointments, 519-627-9666.

Kim O’Neil, owner of the business, told the Sydenham Current earlier this month their former building was written off after an accidental blaze on January 13, which fire officials estimated caused $400,000 damage.

O’Neil said they are moving to the new location until a new building can built at 69 McNaughton Ave.

“It was a complete write-off,” O’Neil said.

“The building down there has got to all come down. There wasn’t much we could salvage down there, it was pretty well all wrote off.”

O’Neil said he plans on rebuilding on his original site and he plans on operating at the new location for about eight to 10 months.

“Or whenever they finish down at the other place,” he said.
