Drone footage of Thamesville flooding (See video)

Dresden resident Corey Vercauteren captured some amazing drone footage of Thamesville on Friday, February 23.

A state of emergency is still in effect in Thamesville and officials are still recommending those in affected areas should voluntary evacuate their homes.

Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services officials say emergency crews went door-to-door starting at 11 a.m. Friday morning

“Most of Thamesville has been evacuated,” the Fire Department tweeted.

“Gas has been shut off to more than 800 homes and businesses. Water levels are expected to peak at midnight. Stay safe everyone.”

Vercauteren took this following footage at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday and provided it to the Sydenham Current.
