Wallaceburg Christian School is looking ahead to 2018/19

Wallaceburg Christian School is looking ahead to the 2018/19 school year and preparing to welcome your family to theirs.

Ready! Set! Alphabet! is a FREE JK/SK readiness program offered Wednesday mornings beginning on April 18 and running until June 6 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Children will be welcomed by certified teachers to experience stories, snacks, crafts, and play in their JK/SK room.

Children work on skills like name recognition, shapes and colours and get to play with play dough, slime and sand.

This is the 5th year WCS is offering this program.

Highlights from past years include a strawberry and ice cream social with their families, digging for dinosaurs, a bus scavenger hunt, fire safety complete with firefighters and a fire truck and a visit from the current JK/SK class and their teacher.

“My son loved Ready! Set! Alphabet! It was the perfect introduction to JK and he couldn’t wait to start school in September. The teachers were awesome and clearly poured their hearts into the programming and children that attended. I’d encourage all parents of JK/SK aged kids to consider WCS not only for this program but for JK/SK and beyond,” said a parent of two children at WCS.

Ready! Set! Alphabet! is a free program with a snack and craft provided for the children each week.

Interested families can call and register their child(ren) by calling or emailing the school.

Wallaceburg Christian School has been successfully educating students for over 55 years.

There are many reasons why families should consider WCS when choosing a school for their children.

The JK/SK program is one of the only schools in the area that offers part-time or full-time options for your child.

Parents can choose 3, 4 or 5 days a week and change that schedule monthly.

Children participate in play-based learning, Biblically-based curriculum and experience positive interaction between all grades with events like buddy-reading, school-wide devotions and special event days.

WCS has a low student-teacher ratio and enjoys a family-like atmosphere with open and easy communication between parents, teachers and community members.

Wallaceburg Christian School is also the owner and operator of re:find Charity Thrift Shoppe downtown Wallaceburg. re:find offers quality items at an affordable price and aims to bless the community in a green way.

While re:find serves as an important financial supporter for WCS, they also regularly give to other non-profit organizations in Wallaceburg and surrounding communities.

Registration for JK/SK – grade 8 is open.
