Tina Goetheyn, the office coordinator at the 70 Duke Street facility, says the homes door is always open for anyone interested to join us for a tour or to take part in the activities organized for the residents.

“The home hosts tea socials, soup and sandwich luncheons, family meals and BBQ’s for holidays and an upcoming Easter egg hunt open to the families and the community. As well the home likes to be involved in community activities and hosts a BBQ for all to join on the date of the community wide garage sale in Wallaceburg.”

At Wallaceburg Retirement Residence there are always activities to participate in and enjoy. Social teas, bingos, music, karaoke, outings. We invite families to join in when ever possible.

The home welcomes a variety of musical entertainment provided on a weekly basis. We provide music for special events, for the St. Patrick’s Day we are having an Irish band come in to perform for the residents.

Goetheyn said all services and amenities are included with the cost of rent at Wallaceburg Retirement Residence.

“Housekeeping, home cooked meals, snacks, nursing care, laundry service, daily social activities, medication administration and monitoring of overall health and wellness is included in the homes all-inclusive pricing.”

Goetheyn said their nursing staff is top-notch.

“Our nursing staff is kind, considerate and very compassionate. They go above and beyond to take care of your loved ones.”

Beyond the nursing care the Residents compliment the home cooked meals the home provides.

As well, Wallaceburg Retirement Residence offers respite and short term stay options.

“If somebody has surgery we can provide care and assistance through their recovery process. Other reasons to join us for a respite or short-term stay include requiring care for a variety of health reasons or a home to stay in while loved ones are away on vacation.”

Families are invited to join them for the Easter Egg Hunt taking place on March 31, 2018, there will be different age groups for the hunt so please RSVP by March 28th with the number of guests and ages of all children that will be participating 519-627- 0719. We are excited to have The Painted Cat join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt to do face painting and balloon animals for all children from 12:30 – 2:00 pm.
1:00 pm is the Easter Egg Hunt.

They will also provide lunch at noon.
