The Dresden Kinsmen Club recently made a $1,000 donation to the Farm-To-School program in Chatham-Kent.

The eight week fresh vegetable and fruit delivery program, which begins March 19, will see 42 local schools participate.

The students will receive fresh fruits and vegetables each day at no cost to the schools, thanks to supportive community clubs such as the Kinsmen Club of Dresden.

With this kind of support, Dresden Area Central School, The Good Shepherd, Thamesville Area Central School and Zone Public School are schools in this area that will be able to participate.

Dresden Kinsmen President Jon Hawken and Kin member Josh Pietens presented a cheque to principal Byron Hodgson.
