A farming accident in Lambton resulted in a death last week.
OPP officials say on March 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a rural farming address located within the 4000 Block of LaSalle Line, Enniskillen Township to investigate a farming accident.
OPP officials allege that initial investigation revealed that a 78-year-old male was assisting with transferring crop from a storage bin to a transport truck.
While doing so, he fell into the bin.
As a result, David John Brand, 78-years0old from Enniskillen Township succumbed to his injuries and is deceased.
The Petrolia/Enniskillen Fire Department and Lambton EMS also attended to assist.
The Regional Coroner’s Office and Ministry of Labour will take carriage of the investigation.
A post mortem was scheduled for Saturday morning.
The OPP has since notified the deceased’s family members.
