Wallaceburg CrossFit athletes succeed in Elgin

A group of Wallaceburg CrossFit athletes were successful at a recent competition held in Elgin, Ontario.

Three teams from Ballistic Fitness competed at CrossFit Elgin back on January 27.

It was a one-day competition with four events per team.

The Wallaceburg teams consisted of: Rich Button, Audrey Moore and Tina Bunda; Jay McDougall, Sarah Cogghe and Emily Tapp; and Ed Langstaff, Rod Langstaff and Carol Christopoulos.

“All of our athletes had many highlights through the day including most of us setting new personal records in the Clean & Jerk (Olympic Lift),” said Rod Langstaff, owner of Ballistic Fitness.

The team of Langstaff, Langstaff and Christopoulos finished first place overall in the competition.

They placed in first in the ‘Chipper’ category, first in the ‘Heavy Rope’ category, third in the ‘Clean & Jerk Ladder’ category, third in the Assault Thrusters’ category.

Ballistic Fitness is located at 760 Gillard Street in Wallaceburg.
