Lucia Gertrude ‘Lucy’ Van Haecke, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the age of 95.
Lucy is the daughter of the late Henry & Idella (Barnier) Demers. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul and her son Harry in 2001. Loving mother of Gary Van Haecke (Pat) and Norma Authier (Paul). Dear grandmother of Bonnie (Dave), Carol (Aaron), Adam (Jen), Tracey (Brian), Nicole and Nadine and great grandmother of 9 great grandchildren. Sister of Ursula, Virgie, Annette, Evelyn, Mable, Clifford, Gord and the late Gerald, Arsene, Gerty, Lily and Jennie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 6 – 9 PM on Thursday. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday, March 23 at 11 AM. Cremation with burial in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
