‘Molotov cocktail’ investigation continues in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police Service continue to investigate after a Molotov cocktail was tossed into a parked vehicle in Wallaceburg.

Police officials say on Tuesday night around 9 p.m. emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire on King Street.

Through investigation, police learned that an unknown man allegedly lit the vehicle on fire causing about $1,500 damage.

Police say the vehicle was completely destroyed by fire.

Security video footage from the area depicts the suspect as approximately 25 years of age, wearing a light coloured ball cap and jacket.

He was last seen running westbound, police say.
