Susanna Arlene “Miwan” Agounie, a resident of Walpole Island First Nation, died peacefully at the Wallaceburg hospital on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the age of 82.
Susie is the daughter of the late Aylmer Nicholas & Emma (Henry) Plain. Beloved wife of the late Roland Kiyoshk and Lawrence Agounie. Loving mother of Jonathan Rising, Dolores Plain, Nadine Kiyoshk, Bonnie Kiyoshk (late Craig Altiman), Kelly Kiyoshk (Beth Ann) and the late Roderick ‘Ozzie’ Plain (late Hazel) and Dana Kiyoshk. She will be remembered by her 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Sister of Wilson Plain Sr., Annabelle Cornelius, Marie Simcoe, Joseph Plain, Diana Williams and the late Burton Plain, Dorothy Shawnoo, Wilfred Plain Sr. and Gerald Plain Sr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday from 7-9 PM and from noon on Friday at the Walpole Island Sports Complex. The funeral will be celebrated at the arena on Saturday, March 31 at 1 PM.
