Annie Zopf, a long-time resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 93.
Annie is the daughter of the late Leopold and Louise (De Schepper) Van Belleghem. Loving mother of Robert Zopf, Barb Parrish (Art) and Carol Lore (Mike). Dear grandmother of Mike (Tammy), Jeff (Rachel), Steve (Nicole), Jen (Phil), Kevin (Jessica) and Ryan. Great grandmother of Skylar, Leah, Brayden, Hudson, Tyler, Logan, Caleb and Griffin. Sister of the late Jean Benoit, Mary DeVriese and Josephine Pearson. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Annie worked for the Wallaceburg Brass Factory in her younger years. She enjoyed attending bible study and arranging her church bulletins. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family. She expressed her love best through her baking and home cooked meals. There was always a place setting at the table for all who entered her home.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Thursday, April 19 at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
