Debate on ‘health care’ being held in Wallaceburg

The candidates in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex for the Ontario election are being invited to a debate in Wallaceburg.

The focus of the all-candidates debate will be health care.

The debate is being held on May 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 18, located at 52 Margaret Ave. in Wallaceburg.

The event is being organized by the Wallaceburg-Walpole Island First Nation Health Coalition and the Chatham-Kent Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario.

Anyone in the public is welcome to attend the debate.

So far, four people have put their name forward as candidates in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Monte McNaughton, the incumbent MPP for the Ontario PC Party, Todd Case, the NDP candidate, Brian Everaert, the Trillium Party of Ontario candidate and Brad Greulich, the Ontario Libertarian Party candidate, are all in the running.

The Liberal Party and the Green Party have yet to announce a Lambton-Kent-Middlesex candidate for the upcoming election.

Voters go to the polls on Thursday, June 7.
