A pair of Chatham residents were arrested after an alleged theft at Walmart in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday afternoon, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart in Wallaceburg.
Physical descriptors of the female suspect and get-away vehicle were provided to police.
An officer on general patrol located the vehicle on Highway 40 and a traffic stop was initiated.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested.
The stolen items, including a V-Tech baby monitor and fishing equipment were recovered.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
She was released with conditions pending a future court date of May 4, 2018.
A 37-year-old Chatham woman was also charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
She was released with conditions pending a future court date of May 15, 2018.
