Chatham’s first female officer retires

Const. Amy Finn started her policing career as the first female officer with the Chatham Police Department on July 4, 1988. Fast forward to Wednesday, April 25 after 30 years of service and dedication to the citizens of Chatham-Kent, Const. Finn worked her last shift.

“Amy is known for her kindness, compassion and friendly smile,” Chatham-Kent Police Service officials said.

“She treats everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their situation.”

“On behalf of everyone here at the Chatham-Kent Police Service, we would like to officially thank Amy for being a pillar in our community. Wishing you all the best Amy. Enjoy retirement… you’ve earned it. Congratulations.”
