Edgar Bedford

Bedford: Edgar A., formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 90.

Born in Camden Twp., son of the late Edgar and Grace (Allison) Bedford. Edgar farmed all his life in Howard Twp., and was a member of St. John’s Botany United Church. He was a 50 year member and former Worshipful Master of the Tecumseh Sydenham Lodge No.245 A.F. & A.M.. and also served on the boards of the U.C.O., Ridgetown Minor Hockey, Ontario Pork Producers and was a member of the Orange Lodge, Bothwell.

Beloved husband of the late Betty (Rich) Bedford (2015). Loving father of Richard (Char) of Ridgetown, Brian (Kathy) of Chatham, Kevin (Lisa) of Thamesville, Doug (Janine) of McKay’s Corner. Sadly missed by grandchildren Danielle, Jeffrey (Sheila), Sarah, Jenna, Tyler, Fraser, Sadie (Sajal), Wayne (fiance Kristen), Jacqueline and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Madi, Bryer, Bria, Ayden, Keagan, Reeve, Kennedy, and Kase. Dear brother of Jim Bedford of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Jean Orson and Rachel Clark.

The Bedford family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Monday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The Tecumseh Sydenham Masonic Lodge will hold a Masonic service on Monday evening at 6:45 PM. The Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
