Mr. James “Jim” Bechard, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Riverview Gardens, in Chatham, at the age of 85.
Jim was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Alcide and Edith (Dawdy) Bechard.
Raised and loved dearly by Delima Daniels.
Jim is reunited with the love of his life, the late Shirley (Harmsworth) Bechard (2012).
Loving father of Mike (Meracel) Bechard and Brian (Melody) Bechard. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Paige, Peyton, Kyle, Eric, Monica and his great grandchildren, Ciaenna, Kayla, Delilah and Hayden.
Kind brother of Blanche Bortoloto, Eleanor Toles and Alcide Bechard.
Predeceased by his sisters Verna Richie, Marie Best, Victoria Charron and his brother Felix Daniels.
Jim was a very proud and long time member and supporter of the Knights of Pythias of Wallaceburg. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family as he and Shirley were very seldom seen apart.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 7, 2018 from Holy Family Church, in Wallaceburg, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
