Stunt driving on Bear Line Road

A man faces charges after allegedly travelling 53 km/h over the speed limit in between Chatham and Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officialsd say on Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. officers on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling on Bear line Road at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was recorded going 133 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone, police allege.

The 25-year-old Chatham man was charged with stunt driving.

His licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.

  1. The Bearline is a huge accident just waiting to happen. I refuse to drive on it. No shoulders, too many transport trucks and now stunt drivers. Yikes!
