The sun was shining brightly down on Wallaceburg District Secondary School on Thursday for the 25th annual Tartan Tinman Triathlon. Nancy Schinkelshoek, teacher at WDSS and the event organizer, says putting on the event is a true team effort. 165 people participated and over 90 people volunteered at the event this year.

The Wallaceburg Red Devils picked up two more W’s in the last week, to extend their winning streak to eight games. Wallaceburg topped London on Tuesday 20-7. Tanner Cole had 7-points, 2 goals and 5 assists and Kyle Dawson scored 5 goals and added 1 assist to lead the Devils. Last Saturday, Wallaceburg beat Wellland 15-8. The Red Devils will be at home this weekend for two games. They’ll host Niagara on Saturday and their heated rivals from Windsor on Sunday. Both games start at 4 p.m.
