Man charged for having unmarked cigarettes

A Harwich man faces charges after a quantity of unmarked cigarettes were found in his vehicle.

OPP officials say on May 19, 2018, around 9 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Creek Road.

During the stop, police located unmarked cigarettes in the vehicle.

As a result, the male driver, a 31-year-old from Harwich, has been charged with adult possess unmarked cigarettes, contrary to section 29(1) of the Tobacco Tax Act.

The cigarettes were seized.
