Stunt driving charges laid in Dawn-Euphemia

A Petrolia man faces stunt driving charges after being pulled over in Dawn-Euphemia.

Lambton OPP officials say on May 28, 2018 a member of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was performing traffic enforcement duties on south Oil Heritage Road within the Township of Dawn-Euphemia when he observed a 2008 Dodge Caliber traveling a high rate of speed.

The OPP member was able to determine that motor vehicle was travelling in excess of over 50 km/hr in a posted 90 km/hr zone.

As a result, the male driver, a 24-year-old Petrolia man was charged with allegedly commit the offence of Race a Motor Vehicle, excessive speed.

His driver’s licence was suspended and his motor vehicle impounded.

He must appear at Sarnia Traffic Court on July 12, 2018 in relation to the allegation.
