The annual Sydenham Challenge Dragon Boat Festival was held last weekend in downtown Wallaceburg.
Organizer Brian Armitage says it was another awesome event.
“On Friday night we thought we were all going to freeze, but the sun came out like it always does on the first weekend of June. We got blessed with awesome weather. As far as I know, all the groups did good that were doing their own fundraisers… and the Legion did well.”
Armitage said a total of 28 teams took part in the event.
Proceeds from the event supports programs in Wallaceburg for the United Way of Chatham-Kent and the Breast Buddies Support Team.
