A reminder that the Wallaceburg Town-Wide-Yard Sale is on Saturday, June 9. Check out the Riversite Realty Yard Sale Map on the Sydenham Current. There are multiple yard sales planned for across Wallaceburg n the morning. Also, the town-side Yard Sales in Dresden are taking place on Saturday, June 16.

Wallaceburg Retirement Residence is holding a BBQ on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.Hot dogs, chips and refreshments will be available. Cost id by donation.

The Chatham Kinsmen Spring Festival is taking place all weekend at Memorial Arena in Chatham. The Midway Show is provided by Carter Shows. Advance tickets sales for all day rides are $25.00 or $30.00 at the door. There is also musical acts playing all weekend long as well.

The Wallaceburg Concert Band is holding a FREE outdoor concert on Sunday in Crother’s Park in Wallaceburg. ‘Groovin’ on a Sunday Afternoon’ will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant park. There Lots of parking. People are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and your sunglasses. The event is weather permitting.

The Wallaceburg Concert Band is also holding a New Member & Social Night on Monday June 11th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is being held in the WDSS Music Room – Rear Parking Lot on Selkirk Street. Everyone is welcome.

Also on Monday, Chatham-Kent administration will hold a public forum free to the public on the coming legalization of marijuana. The session will be hosted on YourTV and residents are welcome to attend the event, which will be held in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre in Chatham at 6 p.m.

And finally… the Wallaceburg & District Council For The Arts are bringing back the Outdoor Summer Concert Series. Live and local music will once again be enjoyed in Library Park on Tuesday nights throughout the summer months. The outdoor series will once again be FREE admission and open to the public, planned for Tuesday nights through the summer months from June 12 to August 14. This year’s line-up will feature local talent including The Moondog Howlers, Neil Malcomb Band, The Sterling Blues Band, Dan Knight, Jay Allan, Jacklyn Wills, The Down River Band, The Uku Kings and more.
