Sports is brought to you by The St. Clair River Run. Register now and take advantage of the early bird rate. The chip-timed 10 km run and 5 km walk/run through Port Lambton and Sombra is scheduled Saturday, July 21st. There will also be a kids minnow run. The Wallaceburg Red Devils picked up two huge road wins on the weekend, beating Elora 10-8 and Orangeville 15-10. Wallaceburg now sits at 14-2 on the season, good for first place in the Far West Division of the Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League. The team has clinched a playoff berth as well. The Red Devils will be back in action on Saturday, June 9 on the road in St. Catharines.

Many soccer players will now enjoy the use of a new family-friendly field house/washroom facility at the Center for Community Services Soccer Fields on Grand Avenue and Lark Street. This new facility was a partnership between the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Health & Family Services, Chatham Youth Soccer Association and Community Living Chatham Kent. The need for a new washroom building was identified to Chatham-Kent Council in 2016 and funding in the amount of $466,427 was approved in 2016 and 2017. The soccer fields at the Centre for Community Services location sees on average over 1,200 users each week.
