Woman robbed at gunpoint in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege that on June 10, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a 64-year-old woman attend an ATM vestibule located at 450 Trudeau Drive, at the plaza at Confederation Street and Trudeau Drive.

The female withdrew money and as she turned to leave the machine she was confronted by a male wearing a black mask covering his face that had white vertical stripes.

The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered her to give him the money.

The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot, northbound on Trudeau Drive.

Police immediately attended the area and were assisted by the OPP canine Unit.

During a search of the area a 30-year-old male was located and arrested on outstanding warrants not related to this robbery.

At this time the investigation continues by the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch.

The suspect is described as being a slim white male with dirty blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a black ball cap.

The Sarnia Police Service is requesting that residents in the area of Trudeau Drive, D’Andrea Trail and Confederation Road check their property for anything out of the ordinary that may relate to the robbery.
