Crystal meth seized during a bust in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege that the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into an investigation regarding a local female, in the 300 block of George Street, believed to be dealing crystal methamphetamine.

On June 12, 2018, the Vice Unit requested and was granted a warrant to search the residence in question for evidence regarding the trafficking of drugs.

Officers made entry into the residence on George Street at approximately 10:25 p.m.

Officers located and arrested the 45 year old female suspect in the residence.

Upon searching the residence officers located over $1,800 in cash, 11 hyrdomorphone capsules, over 27 grams of cocaine, approximately two grams of methamphetamine, and nine codeine tablets, police allege.

The total street value of drugs seized was approximately $3,675.00.

Officers also located a taser in the residence which is a prohibited weapon.

The woman was charged with:

1) Four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

2) Possession of a prohibited device

She was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
