Mr. Ronald Furtah, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
He was born in Wallaceburg, a son of the late Wilbert and Pearl (Hickman) Furtah. Beloved husband of 60 years to Margaret (nee Raymond) Furtah. Loving father and father-in-law of Scott (Sue Lachapelle) Furtah, Anne Thomson (Robert Vienstra) and Dave (Alison) Furtah. Dear grandfather of Courtney, Ronald, Donald, Jamielynn, Bradley, Taylor and Savannah. Dear great grandfather of Elise. Kind brother of Marlene (the late Jack) Watson, Fran (Gord) Childs and brother-in-law of Doug (Joanne “Midge”) Raymond and the late David (the late Joan) Raymond.
He is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. (519-627-2861). Following Ron’s wishes, cremation will take place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home
