At their April monthly meeting, the Sombra Optimist Club honoured Brian Rowley as their 2017-18 Citizen of the Year.
Brian has served the community in various capacities.
He served over 20 years as a leader for 1st Sombra Scouts of Canada, Cubs and Beavers with 15 years of those years being a group commissioner.
Brian helped to set up and for 35 years work at the Port Lambton Gala Days and participates annually in the St-Vincent de Paul Can Drive.
The club says Brian makes a big difference in the community, always available to help out, whenever needed.
The Sombra Optimist Club was proud to present Brian with their Citizen of the Year award.
