Local brides and grooms now have an easy way to track down vendors to complete their wedding day.
CKWeddingProfessionals.com launched earlier this month with the goal to be a complete resource for engaged couples and others planning a special event in Chatham-Kent.
The site was created by local entrepreneurs Jamie Johnston and Jenne Wason Benoit in answer to what they perceived to be a gap of information.
“We had recently started our own wedding and special event design business A Curated Event and we were looking into different places to promote our work,” said Johnston. “As we got to talking, we realized we had never found a thorough online wedding resource for our area in all our years of event planning—even before we officially started in the industry. So we decided to create one.”
The site lists local wedding vendors by category, in alphabetical order rather than being based on advertising.
“We really want brides and grooms to have a chance to get the full picture of event specialists available in our area, “ continued Johnston.
“Too often wedding resource websites are cluttered by ads and it becomes difficult to sort through all of the options in each category. We’re really excited to be bringing this helpful tool to brides and grooms and anyone planning an event in Chatham-Kent.”
A number of wedding professionals are already up on the website and more will be added in the coming months.
Anyone planning a special event is encouraged to go to ckweddingprofessionals.com to explore the list of options. Industry professionals interested in being listed can also go to the site to send in their information.
