Canada Day 2018 celebrated in Wallaceburg (Photos)

It was a hot and humid day in Wallaceburg on Sunday, July 1, but the annual Canada Day festivities were deemed a success by the new organizers.

Leesa Ervin, a member of the Wallaceburg Centennial Lions Club, said their group received great support from the community.

“We’d like to thank all of our sponsors… Progressive Ford, McDonald’s, No Frills and the list is so long,” she said during the opening ceremonies.

“We could not have done this without everybody. Thanks you so much to the community, you all helped. This wouldn’t have been possible without you.”

Several vendors were setup at the event, including bouncy castles, food vendors and a photo booth.

There was also LIVE music performed on the Canada Day stage and the evening was capped off by a fireworks display.
