Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege last night, a man was driving in Wallaceburg when he was stopped by officers on a traffic infraction.
The officer suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
As a result he was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
A 24-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with driving while ability impaired and having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
