A missing boater was found ‘alive and well’ on Walpole Island after a search and rescue mission on Saturday.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on July 7 at approximately 7 pm a 22-year-old Blenheim man took his personal watercraft out on the water.

The man did not return and his absence was reported to the OPP.

On July 8 his watercraft was located in a marsh area near Walpole Island.

At approximately 10 a.m. members of the Chatham-Kent Police and Ontario Provincial Police located the man alive and well on a shore line on Walpole.
