Alcide Julius “Al” Bechard Jr., a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at the CKHA Sydenham Campus on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 90.
Son of the late Alcide Joseph & Edith Bechard. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Kathryn (Tuckwell) in 1994. Loving father of Debbie Shore (Charlie), Lynette Vankerkhoven (Larry) and Gary Bechard (Katherine). Dear grandfather of Jodi (Derek), David (Ashley), Leigh Anne (Matt), Brent (Kaitlynn), Kaitlyn and Connor and great grandfather of 9 great grandchildren. Sister of Blanche Bortolotto (late Gord) and the late Jim Bechard (Shirley). Al was a lifelong member of the Knights of Pythias and had retired as an electrician at Waltec Brass. He was an amazing father and grandfather to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
