Mrs. Glynis Ann Wood, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 71.
Glynis was born in Petrolia and was a daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret “Peggy” (Moore) Miles. Beloved wife of John Wood. Loving mother of Tracy (Kim) Wood and Corey (Dawn) Wood. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jay, Madison, Macie, Josh, Sydney and Sarah and great grandson Jaxon.
Glynis was a very giving person and if you knew her you likely received something either for you or for your child that was knitted, it was just something that she just loved to do. She would do this at no cost to any one. Her payment was just seeing the smile on the person’s face that it was being given to. This was payment enough.
Following her wishes, cremation will take place.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 11 a.m., from the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home.
