Police investigating two armed robberies in Lambton

Lambton OPP officials allege on July 29, 2018 at approximately 6:50 a.m., the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the area of Lyndoch and Hill Streets, Town of Corunna to investigate two robberies that had occurred at a variety store and a grocery store.

Investigation has revealed that the suspect entered both stores, displayed a weapon in a threatening manner, and demanded cash.

The suspect was unsuccessful at the variety store but, did leave the grocery store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot.

There were no injuries reported.

The male (pictured) is described as white, 30-35-years-of-age, very thin, short brown hair, eye glasses, wearing a black balaclava, grey sweater, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.

He has a spider web tattoo on his right hand.

The Lambton OPP and the West Region OPP Crime Unit are continuing to investigate these incidents.

The OPP is searching for a suspect who is considered armed and dangerous in relation to this active investigation. A photo of the suspect is attached to this release.
