Arrest made after a stabbing in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on Saturday night at 5:20 p.m. a man and the alleged victim were both at a business on Talbot St. W. in Blenheim.

The victim was waiting in line to purchase his order when the male lunged at him and stabbed him with a knife.

The victim sustained a superficial cut to his abdomen, police say.

The male was identified by witnesses and quickly fled the area.

A 21-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and Weapons Dangerous.

He was remanded into custody until Aug 7th, 2018 for a Bail Hearing.
