Don Bodkin

Bodkin: Don, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Born in Florence on May 16, 1938, son of the late Arlo & Grace Bodkin. Beloved husband of 58 years to Anne Bodkin. Cherished father to Debra (Bill Klym), Shelley (Al Lambert), Pamela, and Todd (Krista). Proud “Gramps” to Sidney, Evan, and Nathan Lambert, Ally Cumming, Brody and Karleigh Bodkin. Brother to Mary & Phil Emerick, Bev & Judy Bodkin, and the late Joan & Wayne Webster. Uncle Donnie will be missed by several beloved nieces and nephews.

Don was a farmer, a farm equipment dealer and an antique buff. He enjoyed auction sales and was a collector of anything and everything. Bidder #45 has moved on to the auction in the sky. He enjoyed his 1950 Studebaker and loved to always tease the kids.

The family is truly grateful for the wonderful care which Don received throughout this journey. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Florence Community Centre, 6213 Mill Street, Florence on Sunday August 12th from 1:00 to 4:00p.m. Arrangements entrusted to John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville.
